Generally you will go into your attorney’s office and sit down and go over the paperwork with the attorney. Sign your document and wait for the county to record the new deed. On occasion there may be the need for a “mail away closing”. This is for out-of-town buyers, etc. The attorney will overnight you a closing package, you will then take that package and sign those documents in the presence of a notary. You will overnight that package back to the lender for recording.

You will choose a closing attorney, your agent will be able to help assist you with this process. Once selected, the closing attorney will be responsible for ensuring that title insurance is ordered, title search is ordered, they will prepare all your closing documents and balance final numbers with your lender.
